Displaying Application Services
USGS EROS has provided the following web services that can be used by the public to build custom applications:
- Elevation — Use the Elevation Service to obtain elevations from a variety of data sources for the United States, U.S. territories, and parts of North America.
- Inventory — Use the Inventory Service to find out which datasets cover a specific geographic area. This service can also provide many characteristics of those datsets including download options, metadata URLs, and WMS information that can be used to request map images.
- Downloads — Use the Request Validation and Download Services to obtain full resolution data.
